The Thickline - The Lost Model
Many years ago when I first began this journey I had a design in mind that for a change I committed to paper!
Well over the years sketchbooks get lost, bits of paper fade and again get lost… but, every so often a lost idea returns…
Enter The Lost model, my mash up of a Tele Thinline, my own signature ‘Thickline’ model and a Gibson 157 (well the horn anyway!)
Hollow body around a neck and heel block. Korina sides, a flamed maple internally braced, book-matched top and a locally sourced spalted sycamore back from Suffolk.
Traditional Canadian rock maple neck on a 9.5 inch radius, rosewood fretboard with mother of pearl fret markers, full nitro lacquered topcoat, hand relic’d in a subtle but age appropriate way.
Fender cut down ashtray bridge, and powered by a stunning hand wound and handmade Humbucker sized P90 from the legendary Thomas Nilsen and an always great Bareknuckle pickups hand wound ‘True Grit’ tele pickup in the bridge. CTS pots, vintage PIO tone cap, neutrik jack and switchcraft selector switch. Hand cast selector skull detail and 70s style ‘hifi’ knobs finish off this stunning one of a kind instrument.
Comes with Certificate of Authenticity
Ships in a Blind Johns Guitars branded ABS case.
